That's why I'm in this business. It's not really just about cake... it's about joy. The joy of creating a product for you that delivers on looks, taste, and happiness... and in turn brings joy to your celebration.
After working as an editor in legal publishing and then leaving my career to look after our three daughters, the idea of setting up a home baking business was born. A baking enthusiast since toddlerhood, it's very exciting to finally be able to turn a passion into a job too.
I focus on wedding cakes, celebration cakes, cupcakes and the Parisian macaron, all of which are handmade in my registered and insured home bakery. I have been rated 5* by Bradford Council for Food Hygiene.
The environment is high on my agenda and I've taken several steps towards eliminating single-use plastic from my business and sourcing incredients locally. I use free range eggs and milk from a local farm (delivered in glass bottles!), local butter, renewable energy sources and chocolate that is bulk bought in recyclable packaging and funds sustainable farming projects.
